Headed by Anders Oreby Hansen, Bech-Bruun’s tax group is ‘among the best’ in corporate structurings and transactions, as well as transfer pricing disputes. Erik Banner-Voigt advised Vækstfonden on the structuring and taxation of investors regarding the raising of a DKK2.6bn private equity fund. Group head Søren Lehmann Nielsen successfully represented a multinational company in a transfer pricing case before the National Tax Tribunal.

Kromann Reumert provides ‘to-the-point’ advice on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate structurings, transfer pricing and EU tax law. ‘Excellent’ practice head Arne Møllin Ottosen led on the tax aspects of DONG Energy’s IPO, covering Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. Hans Severin Hansen heads the ‘second-to-none’ practice at Plesner, which specialises in tax litigation. Svend Erik Holm successfully defended Takeda before the Supreme Court in a case brought by the Danish Ministry of Taxation regarding cost deductions to two banks handling the client’s corporate bond issuance. Clients also recommend Tom Kári Kristjánsson and the ‘excellent’ Lasse Esbjerg Christensen.

Gorrissen Federspiel has extensive experience of advising on M&A-related tax issues, tax controversy and VAT matters. Practice head Jakob Skaadstrup Andersen is ‘strong in tax litigation’, and other names to note are Jan Steen Hansen and Lars Fogh.

TVC Law Firm is led by Torben Bagge, who has extensive experience of advising companies and private individuals on VAT and tax litigation matters. Morten Breum-Leer frequently advises on succession planning and the tax aspects of M&A. Tommy V Christiansen retired.

One of the top tax litigation firms in Denmark’, Vistisen Tax Attorneys is headed by the well-regarded Eduardo Vistisen, who is highly experienced in representing clients before all levels of the Danish court.

Accura Advokatpartnerselskab’s ‘very good’ group primarily handles the tax aspects of transactional matters. The ‘very experienced’ Arne Riis advised private equity fund EQT on all tax issues regarding its €1bn acquisition of Sitecore. The team also includes ‘very talented’ senior associate Poul Erik Lytken, who joined from the Ministry of Taxation.

Dahl Law Firm advises on tax planning, litigation and VAT matters. Clients recommend the ‘very pleasant and professional’ Torben Buur, who specialises in litigation. Bent Ramskov leads the team, which also includes Jesper Bierregaard and Martin Jørgensen.

Delacour’s practice is headed by Christian Bachmann, who often acts for clients in negotiations with the Danish Tax Authorities. Anders Hedetoft is now at Holst, Advokater.

Holst, Advokater advises on VAT and tax litigation, among other areas. The group, which includes Claus Hedegaard Eriksen and Kurt Siggaard, was strengthened by the recruitment of Anders Hedetoft from Delacour.

Mazanti-Andersen Korsø Jensen is led by Hanne Magnussen, who handles commercial taxation and other issues for Danish and foreign companies.
