Sławomir Boruc heads Baker & McKenzie Krzyzowski i Wspólnicy Spólka Komandytowa’s practice. In an illustration of its corporate transactional support capability, Piotr Wysocki advised Kofola CeskoSlovensko on the tax aspects of Kofola Group’s transfer of shares from the Warsaw Stock Exchange to the Prague Stock Exchange. It also represents clients in administrative court proceedings arising from tax remittance. Skanska and SeaChange are new clients. Tomasz Chentosz and Katarzyna Kopczewska are also recommended.

At Dentons, practice head Karina Furga-Dąbrowska and counsel Tomasz Krasowski are advising Fortis Nowy Stary Browar on the tax aspects of the €290m sale of a shopping, arts and business centre. The team is advising Soufflet Group on the tax aspects of the transfer of shares in a Polish subsidiary, including structuring an intragroup financing scheme and handling the analysis of the cash pooling arrangements. Cezary Przygodzki is another name to note.

The group at CMS is led by Arkadiusz Michaliszyn and Andrzej Pośniak. Pośniak is assisting Pramerica Property Investment with the tax aspects of the restructuring of a property portfolio and on the structuring of a joint venture. Other clients include Techint and Chevron.

Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka’s client base includes the municipality of Poznań and Totalizator Sportowy. Practice head Joanna Wierzejska and Artur Nowak assists clients with the tax aspects of corporate matters, including investments, and tax disputes.

Andrzej Ladzinski and Artur Cmoch jointly head the practice at GWW. Hogan Lovells (Warszawa) LLP’s team provides ongoing tax advice to Astaldi on its projects, including the construction of Warsaw’s second metro line. Andrzej Dębiec heads the team.

Linklaters’ group is noted for its comprehensive tax advice on real estate transactions. Counsel Mikolaj Bieniasz is assisting CBRE with the tax aspects of the PLN293m acquisition of Sfera Shopping Centre. Niam, Union Investment and Kulczyk Silverstein Properties are also clients.

Dorota Szubielska heads Radzikowski, Szubielska i Wspólnicy sp.k.’s practice, which is representing an entrepreneur in compensationclaims against the State Treasury arising from an overpaid tax return claim. Piotr Karwat is also recommended.

At Wardynski & Partners, Dariusz Wasylkowski led a team assisting Silicon & Software System Polska with devising a tax-efficient structure for a transfer of funds. Other highlights included providing strategic tax-planning advice to Imapp concerning its acquisition of Ethereum cryptocurrency. Michal Nowacki is also recommended.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP’s team is advising Ciech on the tax aspects of the group’s corporate financing. Enterprise Investors, Eco-Wind Construction and Abris Capital Partners are also clients. Robert Krasnodebski leads the practice.

FKA Furtek Komosa Aleksandrowicz acts for clients including Ferratum, Orange Polska and Poczta Polska. Practice head Mariusz Aleksandrowicz advised Viking Malt on the tax aspects of its acquisition of Danish Malting Group from Carlsberg.

SSW Spaczynski Szczepaniak i Wspólnicy assisted Bainbridge Poland with a tax-efficient restructuring and advised Capital36 Fiz on the structuring of an acquisition to comply with Swiss taxation rules. Tomasz Wickel and Patrycja Goździowska are the key contacts.
